Franklin Constant pressure pumps provide a constant flow by varying pumping speed. As water passes through the water line, the pressure is sampled continuously by the pressure sensor which signals the SubDrive to control the pump, by speeding up or slowing down the motor. The concept is similar to how the cruise control on your car works. This allows for a consistent flow and stable pressure in your home. Because the system provides water directly from your well on-demand it eliminates the need for large tanks to store the pressurized water (although you may still keep your existing tank should you desire). By continually adjusting the pump performance to meet the water demand needs, the pump eliminates pressure cycling during long periods of running such as with sprinkler irrigation systems, or submersible well pump applications. The electronic controller used on a constant pressure pump provides a safeguard against a variety of typical application hazards. You are protected against Rapid Cycling or water logged tank problems, short circuit to motor, under voltage, pump overload caused by clogging with sand or silt, and from running dry. Submersible constant pressure pumps provide all of these safety features, protecting your equipment and providing consistent water flow.
These features make the constant pressure pumps use 55% - 60% less electricity to operate than traditional systems. Immediate Benefits from a Franklin Constant Pressure Pump
